For the first time, Araw ng Compostela/Buganihan Festival was featured, live, on a regular morning TV show.
For the first time, Compostela, represented by Gabi National High School, will have an entry in annual Kadayawan Festival of Davao City this August and was announced on TV.
For the first time, a local eatery through its cooking crew cooked the “specialty of the house” in from of a TV camera, live.
For the first time, a platoon of beauties and brains showed their elegance and pride for representing their respective barangays in a beauty pageant, was presented publicly on a set of a TV program.
For the first time, the municipal ground prepared purposely for the Agro-Trade Fair was used as an open-field TV show set and connected through a live patch simultaneous to a show in the TV program in Davao City.
All of these were happening because for the first time Maayong Buntag Mindanao, a regular morning show of ABS-CBN Davao City, featured Araw ng Compostela and Buganihan Festival to the whole of Davao Region, showcasing culture, products, services, tourism, and people.
And of course, for the first time, the people of Compostela, lead by Mayor Lema P. Bolo, will proudly tell the whole world “Compostela Love Ko…Padayon sa Paglambo”.
